So in this summer heat I've been eating cold dill pickles straight from the jar. We have a lot of gherkins coming up in the garden so I felt inspired to try my hand at making my own pickles. Then I stumbled upon this...
1 Cucumber, medium
10 medium sprigs Dill, fresh
1 Garlic clove, small
1 tbsp Mustard seeds, whole
1 tbsp Peppercorns, whole black
AND this!
4 tsp Dill pickle, juice
Ice
6 shots Dill pickle infused vodka or pickle flavored vodka
1 shot Dry vermouth
small dill pickles or cornichons for garnish
I think I know what must be done!

Okole maluna!
Re: Dill pickle drinks
That's pretty damn adventurous. I bet I wouldn't like it -- because I can only take my pickles in small doses.
Nonetheless, report back, trooper!

EASY PICKLEBACK RECIPE
Pickleback shots originated from The Bushwick Country Club bar in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. Reggie Cunningham is thought to be the originator of the popular shot back in 2006.
Here's what you'll need to make my pickleback inspired cocktail at home:
Whiskey or bourbon
Pickle juice
Fresh lime juice
Simple syrup
Cocktail mixing glass
Cocktail glasses
Ice
To make this simple cocktail, stir the whiskey, lime juice, and simple syrup together in your mixing glass. Pour into 2 cocktail glasses filled with ice. Garnish, if desired, and serve.
