Big Shot Rob is no longer a Spur. They've actually added some young talent- George Hill is a rookie, and fits into the system quite well.

Can't say much about Kurt Thomas or Bruce Bowen, though.

Still, "old" is also "experienced".

The Knicks came close to beating the Lakers last night. I hope Kobe and Co don't think they can coast and just turn it on whenever they want.

If they do, they want make the finals again.

Because I'm nice, I'm going to give the Lakers a choice of which of my nuts to kiss. Their douchebag Hollywood fake fans can get in line.

When baby Greg Oden grows into the Beast, the Lakers and their designated rapist Kobe will fear the Rose Garden once again. Or something. Go Blazers.

Got tickets to Portland v Denver on Dec. 23. Should be fun.

Blazers are much improved, no doubt. Hope Oden can stay healthy for you guys. They're not ready to roll with the Lakers or Hornets though.

How's Oden's leg doing? He seems slow in transition and doesn't appear 100% to me. Seems like a nice kid, though. Hope he pans out up there, if only so Bynum can crush him. I like Aldridge, though. Texas-ex.

Honestly, I think Oden's still got a little 'holy crap, I'm in the NBA' awe in his game. He'll grow into something special. Aldridge is streaky and skinny, has a good presence when he's on though. Brandon Roy deserved his All-Star nod last year, he's going to be name-dropped as a guard, dude is just getting better and better as a goto guy and court leader.

Yeah, I think Greg O's a little shell-shocked, plus, a serious injury definitely messes with a player's head. Also, he's used to being the biggest-baddest guy on the court. In this league, he's just another 7ft rookie.

All the reports I read say he's got a good head on his shoulders and he's coachable.

He'll be alright, and him and Bynum can go at it for years.

Man, Brandon Roy. 52 points against the Suns last night...MVP man...

24 and 2. 16 wins in a row. Best start since 1964. Even if you don't like them, the 2008 Celtics are a force of nature and one hell of a good team to watch. If the Celts win two more games, that will be the longest winning streak in Celtics history. And that is an amazing thing. Celtics history basically goes like this: they were the best team in the world from the 50s until the late 80s/early 90s then they sucked four about 16 years and now they are once again the best team in the world. My favorite team, of course, as a lifelong fan, but also, from a non-fan perspective its still an incredible story and some of the most fun you can have watching people throw a ball around and at a hoop.

This is a family thread; please delete that disgusting photo at once.

Have I mentioned Brandon ROY before his 52 point game? Yes. Yes, I believe I did.

SHAZZAM.

What's your feeling about "Big Baby"? I think if he were to get in a little better shape, he might be a monster in the post.

He looks to me like he has good basic court instincts, he's got soft hands and works hard, but it seems like he might slow down with too many minutes, carrying all that weight. Thatt can't be good for his knees.
