You know, when We won the World Series, at least we made it back the following year ....

Once post-season started, I had to pick a team. I chose local and went with the Giants. I am watching Game 6 right now in Philly and it's tied 2-2 top of the 8th. Giants are not playing well, but the game is tied up, so I can't complain. Not like the Red Sox showed up this year at all, so there we are.
Giants v. Rangers would be fun.
The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist.

Hey thanks bud. The Giants offense has been so unpredictably amazing that it's been really good TV, and it just proves how crazily entertaining the sport of baseball is. The Phillies are absolutely stacked with amazing talent, but I'd rather play the factual percentages any day than depend on some popular trends. The Giants played better than the Phillies in the regular season. The result was that they ended up with twice as many wins as the "best team in baseball" during the NLCS- even despite the seemingly-important fact that the casual baseball fan outside of Northern California has never heard of any players on the team.
Anyway, the Rangers have announced that if they win the Series then they will celebrate with non-alchoholic ginger ale out of respect for Josh Hamilton and C.J. Wilson's lifestyle choices. How can any red-blooded American root for a baseball team like that?
Also, I can't refrain from pointing this out: 100% of ESPN commentators picked the Phillies to win the World Series at the beginning of the postseason (of course). Only 8% of the nation voted that the Giants would advance past the first round of the postseason.
There's gotta be a point where people start to realize that the national media coverage of the MLB is completely biased, and that it's not providing its viewers with an understanding of who the most talented players in the league are.
