Nah man, I've been seeing this my entire life. As a gambler I'm fully supportive of widespread public misinformation. I just don't get it when I give a bunch of reasons why we should expect the Giants to perform better than the Phillies then a lot of people think I'm wrong but don't disprove any of the reasons I gave. It does come off stinking a lot like "Well...because ESPN said so." I don't agree with you guys that an entire staff should be judged on one start by one pitcher. Dallas Braden tossed a perfect game one start this year but I still don't think Oakland has the best pitching in baseball.
Anyway, I'm looking forward to tomorrow's game even more than tonight's. Jonathan Sanchez has held the Phillies to a lower batting average than any other active pitcher in baseball. Should be another tight one. Whatever happens, this series is guarenteed to result in a lot of great baseball.

I don't think it's homerism though. The fact that I'm a fan of the team whose stats I'm bringing up doesn't make the stats inaccurate. I don't understand what you all find so controversial about me applying the "Best staff in baseball" tag to the team with the lowest ERA in baseball and the closer with the most saves in baseball. In the season series with the Phillies, the Giants pitched better and hit better. That's not called "homerism". It's called "what happened".

Now that the Yankees have sent the ALCS back to Texas, the pressure's on the Rangers to close it out in 6.
They could play the game in the Alamo but you can bet the Rangers do NOT wanna face the New York Yankees in a 7th game -- no matter where the it's being played. NYY have been in the series-winning business too long.
