There is only one undefeated team left. Does anyone know who that happens to be?
Here's a hint- it's the first program to 2,000 wins, the all time leader in winning percentage (.760), the team with the nation's largest radio affiliate network, the team with the nation's largest television affiliate network, and the team with the most NCAA Tournament appearances (49).
The Big Blue is back. This is as it should be. And I have a man-crush on John Wall.

Re: 2010 NCAA Basketball thread
Temple was picked to finish 5th in the A-10 Preseason Poll.
We're only 5-0 in the conference and #15 in the country right now ...
Oh, and you know who #3's Villanova's only loss was to, right?

Re: 2010 NCAA Basketball thread
Temple scares me. They don't score huge, but they play solid, physical ball.
After the first round, 99% of all NCAA Tournament games turn ugly. Temple's experience in those sorts of games should serve them well in March. If your coach has any sense of history, he will threaten to kill John Calipari. That would be epic.

You only have him for about 2 more months. College basketball sucks that way.

Re: 2010 NCAA Basketball thread
For the past dozen years, UK coaches have refused to recruit players that might leave early. Rajon Rondo was pretty much the only exception. If I have to choose between one year with those guys and no years with those guys, I'll take the one year.JohnnyTequila wrote:ivan wrote:And I have a man-crush on John Wall.

I think it all started when Tubby Smith got burned by a player committing to him, then choosing to go pro instead. Dirk Nowitzki would have been a Wildcat.

Re: 2010 NCAA Basketball thread
The LARGE game around these parts comes tomorrow.
The Shockers go to Northern Iowa.
Should WSU pull Jesus out of their collective asses and miracle themselves a win, the MVC turns into a two horse race, and is much more likely to get two teams into the big dance.
(crossing everything that can be crossed, and tying penis into knot, for luck)

Thanks. Even though they beat NIU at home earlier, they are going to need all the help they can get.ivan wrote:The center for NIU is a beast. Good luck, my wife was a Shocker. I have a soft spot for WSU.waahoohah wrote:The Shockers go to Northern Iowa.
