kentucky derby

Post by treetop »

post at 6:24 pm est tomorrow. i like revolutionary. but verrazano is a wicked strong horse. orb is a great horse but i lack confidence in the jockey. based on name alone i wish fear the kitten was running but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. big party down the local if anyone happens to be in simsbury tomorrow.
it's all good in the woods, nobody hears me when i scream.

i'm just going to wear an awesome hat , drink FREE mint juleps (b/c I will be wearing said awesome hat) and think of our compatriots who live in Kentucky. oh, and think of good horse names and write them down on a napkin. :)
That's what I call Drunkard justice. I hate prisses like that. They're mincing their way through life when they should be marching. ~fkr.

I wish i could find me a woman who drinks!~ruiner..on lack of women drinkers.

I'll be at work for the big race but I'll be at the OTW in the hours leading up, so work shouldn't suck. Though it is a 12 hour shift. I still have no clear favorite yet. By 3 or so I should have my money down. Update to follow then.

There will be a show bet on Revolutionary and Overanalyze. My long shot is Black Onyx with a win-show. A straight win bet on Java's War and Will Take Charge.

Can you tell I'm not big on favorites? They never pay.

I'll be filling up a wading pool with Old Fizgerald and deep frying the corpse of Colonel Sanders.
The Derby may be the fanciest race, but I prefer to bet on the Centaurs.

How's the infield looking this year? Not as hardcore as it used to be I presume. I have never been that into mint, but whiskey...always.

I don't know why I like this sport this much. Though I was able to cover the bar tab and only be down 35 bucks over all. It would have been nice to bring home something other than the glasses.

Speaking of the glasses, these might actually be worth keeping.

Kentucky Derby Time Again

Post by Patchez »

How is this going to play out for everyone?

I got a few horses that I like but I don't see any big paydays in them.

Pletcher has four horses in this race. For some reason he has Castellano on a 50 -1 shot with Velasquez on his favorite at 12-1. I sense some devious plot is afoot. I don't want to throw money after foolishness but I think I may throw some at the 50-1 on a show bet.
