Booze in food

Post by Mayhem »

Yes, I'm watching Food Network again. The Best Of, to be specific. I had my back to the TV, since I'm on the computer, and I heard the words that we all love to hear: Jim Beam. It's in a Kentucky Bourbon Pecan Pie from Tullio's Pastry Shop in NC.
Drink your fucking drink, how about that? Stop the fuckin' presses, isn't it genius??

Derby pie - isn't that a conglomeration of a pecan pie & a chocolate chip pie, or something? Whatever it is, it sounds good.

That's the one. But since I'm a Californian, I'm supposed to cook Californian--at least that's what Ahnold tells us. So walnuts it shall be.

I have a recipe, though I have been asked to refrain from bringing them to family Christmas parties anymore. I guess I can see their point, but I ate them when I was a kid, and they didn't hurt me any.

When I was growing up I used to eat a tremedous amount of Rum balls my parents made at Christmas. They were rather potent, and I was flying after 10 or so.
