A friend forwarded a link to a site with hundreds of sausage formulation recipes. One of those that caught my eye was a spicy little number from Brazil that features "seasoned rum", an ingredient that is sure to quicky become a staple of my kitchen. You'll find the author's recipe for this seasoned rum toward the bottom of the PDF.
Here's the recipe for Linguica Pura de Puerco.
Cooking with booze is good. Cooking with booze while boozed is even better.

Sausages! Woo! They are my favorite breakfast sidedish for omelettes when I am not in the mood for bacon.
The McDonald's sausage biscuit is so greasydelicious
I never order a pizza, calzone, or stromboli without sausage
The secret to the Monty Python skit is that if she had asked for sausage to substitute for Spam, the vikings would have immediately vanished and everyone would go about their business

My Aussie mates cook sausages all the time on the BBQ. The Mango-Chili pepper ones are my favorite. Of course the Beef & Guinness are lovely too but not as sweet & hot.

Keep looking. Denmark is known for some very good sausages (Polse, with that slash thing through the "o").non sipper wrote:this seems an unfortunate topic to post my first post on...but I really miss sausages here in Denmark....especially the breakfast ones...all they eat here for breakfast is brown bread with fish or liver on it....but they do have a nice snaps that kills the taste of all that...

I'm going to make a bold statement and say that you have to go Sweet for sausages, not Hot.
As far as booze relation goes, the best way to cook sausage is by boiling it first in beer. I recommend doing this until its damn well near cooked, and then throw it on the grill for good measure just to drive it all home.
