I was ambitous today. I made a pot of spaghetti sauce from fresh tomatoes and roasted sweet peppers. Also made a loaf of Italian bread. Beats my usual lazy-man suppers.

I've never heard of them either.....I googled and it sounds class though.Artful Drunktective wrote: ↑Sat Aug 28, 2021 3:16 amTotally made homemade crab Rangoon. They came out legit! I even watched a tutorial on YouTube on how to fold them the proper way and everything. oett had never heard of them before much less tried one. He was in heaven.
I love crab meat...i make my own crab ravioli whenever the fish mongers has live crabs in....I'd defo give these a try.

Baked a loaf of Italian bread yesterday and I got a pot of chili on the stove today. Everything is coming together nicely.

A pizza, I generally order an extra one, so that I have leftovers
Re: "What are you eating - Thread"
Had a butternut squash burger with cheese, caramelized onions, lettuce, and rosemary garlic aioli. Fantastique.
The place where we got the food is also super lovely, and the weather could not have been better.
Now, there's whiskey. A good day, indeed.

Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

If I get drunk enough it wont last till the next day..I'll devour it at 4am with 30-40% going down my top or on the floor.

Made crayfish aka "ghetto river crab" cakes with homemade Cajun remolaude. Came out looking good but belongs in the "shit we're ambivalent about" thread. Very meh and disappointing. Won't make again.

they look and sound bangin...I'm surprised you said they were bang average...what was wrong with them? I love crayfish but it's overpriced as fuck here...near enough lobster pricing when you break it down to £ for lbs of meat.Artful Drunktective wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 11:26 amMade crayfish aka "ghetto river crab" cakes with homemade Cajun remolaude. I dunno it was just kinda bland. Maybe next time just keep it simple and sautee them and skip all the filler.benitobeast69 wrote: ↑Thu Oct 21, 2021 1:27 pmthey look and sound bangin...I'm surprised you said they were bang average...what was wrong with them? I had some pork steaks which I jerked and let marinade for 2 days. Served with rice and peas and a jerk ketchup (water, ketchup jerk seasoning, sriracha, chili) heated up until thick.
Pretty good, we will see if it comes out as smoothly as it went in. My instincts are it may be a minor Johnny Cash moment.

A healthy and delicate assortment the fryer spat out: Onion rings, schrimp, cheese nuggets, flushed down with a lot of vodka fluids
