To offer an other point of view, I submit, for your reading pleasure, a short article by Ian Martin , on the joys of the long, boozy restaurant lunch.
A safer, if more expensive, alternative to cooking whilst soused (even the most ardent Francophobe must surely agree that when it comes to lunch, the French nailed it!)

Comvinion? I like it. Comspiritus, that has a ring (of spilt bourbon, no doubt) about it too.

Or, Conspirituous?
Con, in Latinish tongue, refers to "With."
Spirit?
Nicely played, Savage One.
A lovely Wiccan idea. However, they do tend to scream a bit when in my company...
I am Tribal, and so, there is truly no Evil nor is there truly Good. It is all our own man-made impositions upon our behavior that make us choose between the two polarities,
or not?
Cooling souzed?
Hell yes, Lovely Miss Ethyl is most important dinner guest to cooking, and dining.
And sipping...
Perhaps there should be a SWoB?
Sry, been in the bottle again...

Re: Cooking souzed
In the past I made two or three posts about nearly burning my house down while boozing. Two incidents were from cooking drunk. Can't help it, I get the munchies. Damn fire.

I made some delicious chicken and bean stew. It's always stew. Not quite stupid enough to light up the fryer

Love cooking with a bottle of red wine on the go, but always manage to fuck up this kitchen if I'm hammered haha. Too many times I've left the oven gloves on the hob (still on), left the freezer door open or just forgotten about whatever I've concocted in the oven

Take lessons in Soused Cookery from the King of the Cockeyed Kitchen, Mr Keith Floyd. The link will take you to a quick look at the art of Cooking when Crocked, and connections to many other demonstrations of drunken dishes.

Re: Cooking souzed
Was cooking myself some nice selfmade shashlik while drunk.
During the cooking process I drank more and now that it`s finished I`m not hungry anymore but have this never ending thirst.
Tell me I`m not the only one.
Later there`s something damn fine for late night munchies though!

Sir, I was ready to accuse you of slurring your words (gadzooks, heaven forbid!), but it turns out shashlik is real after all. Now that stuff sounds like ten tons of meaty booze-snacking goodness.oettinger wrote:Was cooking myself some nice selfmade shashlik while drunk.

Once I have an oven again I'll be flying but for now George Foreman's lean mean fat reducing grilling machine is making a pork chop cooked for me
