Coq Au Vin, The Right Way!

Coq Au Vin

This recipe is fail proof. Try it! Buy the thickest bacon you can or pork belly... Don't drink the wine that is used for the marinade! I personally like to add 1 bottle of sweet table wine with a bottle or Merlot

Serve this with egg noodles, scalloped potatoes and some cured meats as an appetizer

Buy an extra couple of bottles for the drinking... while this awesome dish is being made. Remember, it's a 48 hour dish, so plan accordingly. I like to start on Friday night then sail into Sunday with this making one hell of a meal.

I don't eat Coq without having downed a few bottles.
Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

That's the best recipe I've found for it. Just remember, always set the table and light a candle for one. That's how I do it
