HAHA yeah I'll take some slimy sewage carp and bass, why not?

There was this restaurant in the Midwest that had the best fried catfish. They even boasted that the catfish were farm raised and were "sweet as a pecan" (???).
We should do a blind taste test comparison to see which is better between that and the sewage encrusted lake fish.

How do we (especially you Brits) feel about salmon fish n' chips? Is it sacrilegious? Are there rules as to what fish is allowed to be battered and fried? I prefer white meat fish but I guess I would give it a whirl. Not the hugest fan of salmon though, unless it is lox.

fish and chips is always white fish to be honest...cod and haddock usually.

that being said a chippy near my old house used to do fried mix skewers which had hunks or salmon, scallops and king prawns all fried and skewered...it was very good..albeit definitely not traditional/usual.

If you told a Brit you were serving them up fish and chips and served them salmon they would be surprised/confused.

I mean salmon is super popular in Britain obvious...just not as fish and chips.

"Ocean Fish" are much tastier than the airborne variety.

If you want good F&C or other seafood

Try Little Chinook's at Fishermen's Terminal in Seattle, better yet just walk over to The Highlinner.
