Tempted to order the brisket from Rudy's BBQ in Texas. Currently residing in the "not yet, but soon to be frozen North" and am Jones'ing for some Texas BBQ.
Almost $300 shipped over night though... Still... could be worth it to me.
My family shipped Jack Stack BBQ to me several thousand miles from KC. It was pretty cool, it came boxed in dry ice and seemed reasonably priced. They have pretty good spicy sauces too. I'm not into the sweet molassesy stuff. It's a glorious world we live in where BBQ can shipped across the nation to your door.
If you guys are going to KC, then the German needs to try BBQ beef brisket with the burnt ends. I’d also recommend cowboy or ranch beans, pickled jalapeños, carne asada and pork guajillo tacos, ceviche and deep fried breaded pickles with ranch dip.
While KC is one of the BBQ capitals if you want truly excellent brisket it can only be found in Texas. It's like a religion down there. Even the little roadside smokhouses do brisket better than 90% of the "pros" in the rest of the country. You can find some really great one but you really have to hunt for them. If you've never had brisket in Texas then most of them will be great. Once you'v3e had it in Texas you're kinda ruined for the rest of the world.
What I'm gonna say is sacrilegious but I'm not a big brisket eater so I couldn't say where to find the best but I trust Patchy on this. But what I do know is that KC is known for it's burnt ends and everybody there goes crazy for it so good recommendations, gents. The German shall try both!
I recently picked up a bottle of Dave's Insanity Sauce. Pretty hawt, but the flavor sucks.
I know that there are way better sauces out there.
My Niece gifted me with the Elijah's gift set which includes a bottle of Extreme Regret. Good taste, but definitely asbestos grommet for your asshole territory...

Just looked that one up. Nice.
Lately I've been eating The Last Dab XXX, which was the hottest sauce featured on Hot Ones on YouTube for a season or two -- 3 million SHU allegedly, which I find hard to believe because I can tolerate it pretty well (still get teary-eyed and snotty, but bearably so).
Got a bottle of Voodoo Prince Death Mamba on the way. It's made by the company ran by the guy who created the Carolina Reaper and Pepper X, the hottest peppers in the world.
This one is supposed to be more flavorful, but still hot. I'm kind of over the hotness-for-hotness'-sake, but I do like the head high of a good pepper rush.

Extreme Regret is no joke.
I have both the Last Dab XXX and Apollo sauces. They taste so good that the heat doesn't really factor in... *shrug*

I don't know why I'm so late to this party. I love hot sauces of all kinds but I agree, sometimes with the really spicy ones, the flavor isn't that great or it's just overpowered with heat. It may seem cheesy, but the Melinda's brand sauces are all pretty amazing and flavorful IMO. Lots of variety and types of sauces. And affordable!
