Summer drinks to get loaded on

I'm looking for some recomendations for a good drink to get loaded off of on a hot summer day. Somethingother than the old standbys like gin and tonic, Pimms Cup, or cold cheap beer. All of which are good, mind you. I'm just looking for something new. A bit of an adventure if you will. It's going to be 100 degrees today and I'm looking to tie one on. Any thoughts?

I personally thought the Coke slurpee from 7-11 with the addition of Sailor Jerry rum was a fantastic cold summer beverage. Yum . . . I want one now!

You know, I was actually thinking that a combination of rum cokes and hole in the wall tequila may just be the way to go.

I've said it before and I'll say it again - dark rum & apple juice. Make sure you get apple juice, and don't mistakenly buy "apple juice drink" as I recently did. I tend to make it in a large tumbler. I'm not sure of the exact sizes, but I usually put in a hefty quadruple rum then top off with apple juice. Throw in a few ice cubes if it's not cold enough for you, but for the love of God make sure you drink it before they melt too much.

A recent experiment also revealed that white rum and Fanta Fruit make for a tasty (if perhaps overly sweet) combination. Further testing is to commence shortly.

EDIT: Not sure if this is an old standby or not, but you really can't go wrong with vodka, soda & lime. I also have a feeling that vodka & bitter lemon might make for a fine summer drink. Any opinions on this one?

Hot spiced cider and spiced Rum is my winter drink for it's "warming properties." I may have to try it cool for the summer.

I feel deficient. It never occured to me to mix rum and cider, despite my love of the rum & apple. Looks like a further batch of experiments is in the offing.

Sage advice from everyone. I appreciate it! I just mixed a rum and coke to sip on while my simple syrup cools so I can make mojitos. Since one rum coke won't last all that long I think I'll add some Pepe Lopez and lime juice to the mix before it's mojito time. I'm currently out of apple juice or I'd be drinking a glass with dark rum as I type. Thanks to y'all and good luck with your buzz.

One thing i'd advise is to avoid too many sweet mixers, they don't half mess your stomach up.

Rum and Coke.

I prefer Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum, a splash of Diet Coke , and A lime wedge.
