On Sundays, I mostly do Mimosas, because the old man frowns on me doing bourbon shots while I'm cooking the bacon and eggs. He's so old-fashioned. Old Fashions... there's a thought. I mean, it's got fruit in it, so it must be healthy.

Season the bacon with bourbon, that way you have to perform quality control duty on the bourbon. I mean, you don't want to serve your old man bad food, right?

Bourbon cured bacon? Bourbacon?

I've got the orange voddie, there must be vitamin C in there somewhere, right? And milk thistle?

So what you're suggesting is: vodka and vitamin pills for breakfast?

Shouldn't the "eye opener" be a cum shot?

Eye Opener! What's Yours?

Post by NYDingbat »

Me - I'm pretty boring. I gotta go with champagne, no orange juice - sorry, Boozie, we call all bubbly wine champagne no matter where it's from - or my old stand by, orange voddie and club.

Do you have an eye-opener that differs from your normal drink of choice, or are ya boring like me?

Yesterday am it was Patron XO Cafe Dark on the rocks. 70 proof tequila w chocolate/coffee flavor. It was spectacular and the price per 1/5th was totally manageable.

This am it was Irish car bombs.

Just doing my little bit to carry our drunkard flag a little farther down the pitch.

The constant realization that if I don't drag my fat creaky popping ass out of bed everything that is shitty will get shittier. Weekend, morning beer, weekday.....abject dejection and stiff upper lippyness. I get that from my English/Welsh ancestors.....they didn't fare so well either..sorry sots. Thank God they married into Highland Scots...didn't fare better but they didn't give a shit.

Eyeopener

Post by Savage »

I used to be all about the mimosas, in their various disguises, but then I chanced upon the lovely Creole milk punch. (Via the ladies from Brennans)

2 oz. brandy (or sub out bourbon, if, by chance, you have drunken all the frog juice
1 oz. simple
1/2 t. vanilla
1-1/2 oz. milk
shake with ice, strain into an ice filled glass. Garnish with nutmeg. drink while waiting for your French toast. Look innocent when the waitress goggles at your drink as she drops your order on the table. (and the beyotch forgot the syrup, which by the way, is not even real maple. why do we even bother to bathe and dress and go here, anyway?)
