I'd rather take the cockpunch.

No shit? I've never heard of it and I don't think you can get it here in NH. The state runs all the liquor stores here---all the money goes to state funding, which means lower taxes and the cheapest booze in New England, but the trade off is selection. I could go to Mass. or order it I suppose. Sounds great, thanks for mentioning it.

IF that's the same stuff I used to buy at Trader Joe's, then hell yes. I keep forgetting the name, and the bottle looks different, but that seems right. The label I was used to had blue & yellow print, it only came in whole liters, and it was $10.00 and the best vodka I've had. Otherwise, Vodka of the Gods, but if there's no TJ's I tend to stick with Smirnov for mixers. But vodka's never been my thing, I'm more into bourbons, whiskeys, and liquors.

Yes it is. Nice and oily. Moskovskaya is also a great TJ vodka, but I tend to stick with Vodka of the Gods because if a guest wants to drink Vodka, that's their business. They'll get $13 a handle stuff and like it. I'll indulge in a Bloody Mary from time to time or a Greyhound, but that is usually when I'm trying to undrunk up.

:) Word. If you want your expensive stuff, go for it. It's not "all the same", but my gut doesn't know that. This is where I run into trouble with some of my friends, and also when I'm a guest at other places: They want to Have a Nice Drink and I want to punish my liver and quiet my brain. Can't quite get them to see that.

These days its smirnoff. Like $5 for half a fifth here in NH.
You're not doing it correctly. Karkov (at least here) is around $10 for a handle. Cheap as all get out and you definitely don't want to drink it straight, but it mixes just fine (better actually that Congress or Aristocrat, however Bartons is a decent alternative for Karkov.) Burnett's is around the same price as Smirnoff but, I think, much better.

Barton's, filtered twice through a Grey Kangaroo and stored in the freezer in a Gordon's bottle. It fits better that way.

But I'd also have to go with Evan. Evan is a good friend of mine. I'm paying him a visit right now.

Magadanskaya, all the way. You may have to hunt for it, depending on where you live, but well worth it. Smooth, with a slightly sweet taste.
