Amarula?

Post by grippingthewheel »

I received a gift of a bottle of Amarula, "This natural wild fruit cocktail is produced from fresh cream and the unique fruit of the Marula tree". It's South African and 17%.

Should I re-gift it? Make a Brutal Amarula? Clean the silver with it?

Hmmmmmmmm...

There is an elephant on the label so it's got that going for it.

It's pretty weird, if i recall correctly. My brother had a bottle. I think I wound up mixing it with coffee.
Be safe everyone.

Try it with Tuaca over ice. I call it a Neopolitan Witch. You know its made from the marula fruit, which ferments on the tree. Then it falls to the earth, a ready made jello shot of the Africas.

I thought the general thought was NOT to buy something with an animal on it? Now I'm confused.

First, elephants are cool. Especially when they're rampaging. Free the elephants!

The Amarula? Not so cool. It's kinda of a creamy melon banana flavored thing. Grandma bridge playing beverage. I've amped it up with a 50/50 vodka mix plus ice. Nevertheless, I feel like dusting the furniture and placing doyles under the plants. Now go eat your vegetables. And wash behind your ears.

fuck, it blows doors off of Baileys. The vodka is a nice punch, but I could sip thru a whole bottle of it rather quick.

Amarulla beats Baileys under the table. Tesco were doing an offer on it a month or so back - I decided to make it somewhat less girly by mixing it 1 part Three Barrels to two Amarulla in a rocks glass over ice. Not bad!

JUST LOVE IT!!!! Amarula is beautiful. Mix it with your tea in the morning or you bourbon when you need to mellow out. Alone..... not so much. But it is my favorite of the cream liquers.
Everyone should believe in something.... I believe I'll have another drink.
