Wild Turkey rarebreed.

Post by Mr Boozificator »

Wow!
A friend of mine just offered me this bourbon and wow!
I know there are some bourbon experts here, so discuss.

It actually wasn't really export: he brought it back from holidays in Florida. Bourbon is extremely hard to find around here. The only one generally available is four roses, and according to me it doesn't even taste like bourbon.

at this point, i'll take it.

it's my understanding the word comes from bourbon co., ky (county seat: paris), which was so named in thanks for the bourbons' help against the brits in the american revolution. seems like you ought to be able to get it there.

My friend insisted last weekend for me to help him kill a bottle of this stuff and yes it was quite tasty.

If it's anything like the Wild Turkey 12 year old bourbon I got at Duty Free, I'm sure it's excellent.

Wonderful sweet stuff and complex; WT101 is a better value, but then so is bumvodka at $11.74/handle.

back before it was the competition's lot to sell, i would have written you a sonnet on how amazing rare breed is. I would have waxed elegant on its subtlety despite its power. i would have told you that it is a fool who adds anything more than, if one must, one ice cube, to its tantalizing depth.

now that it is the competition, i will say but this. it's tasty, but it will give you herpes.
Look at ME! I'm Shakespeare!

I sell Mad Dog, yes I do.

Rare breed is awesome, if a bit overpriced.

I'm certainly no expert, but Rare Breed was the best I'd had until I recently received some Willet Pot Still Reserve as a gift. I'm no Ivan or Big Casino with the bourbons, though, so take my advice with a small grape.

Buffalo Trace tastes very similar to Rare Breed, IMO, at almost half the price, so if that's ever available to you and you don't feel like shelling out the extra cash, try some B.T., I'm confident you'll like it.
