Templeton Rye
Anyone heard of this stuff? I got a bottle as a gift last week. Very good and very smooth, especially for a rye. I guess they make it over in iowa. The story goes that when prohibition hit, this small town of about 100 people all decided to get into the whiskey making biz. Since the whole town was in on it, nobody was gonna rat out anyone else. It also says on the bottle that they use the original prohibition era recipie. They also boast that it was Al Capones favorite and that a bottle or two even found their way to him at Alcatraz. Check it out if you can find it. I've never seen it before but it is rather good.
Beer's just being social. Whiskey's drinkin'.
