Atlanta question

Post by incognito »

A friend and I will be in Atlanta for a weekend in a few weeks and I was wondering if anyone out there had any suggestion.? I used to live there for a short time and could easily find places for us to hangout and drink but I just hoped there might be a local in the forum that could give me a bit of guidance.

Thanks,

Scott

Have you been yet? If not I may have a place or two to recommend.
Little Five Points is super cool.

No, I haven't been yet. I'll be going the second weekend in February. Yea, I lived in Atlanta for a short time and my friend and I would go to Little 5 Points a lot. What bar(s) do you recommend either in that area or anywhere around there?

Thanks.

I haven't been in a couple years so I hope this holds true.
The Euclid Ave. Yacht Club is high on my all-time list of favorite bars, and Vortex is cool and they have a massive assortment of single malts. The Point used to have good bands.
For eats you got Fellini's pizza, Bridgetown Grill and a couple miles away Cafe Diem for a cheap, tasty Sunday brunch.
Have fun. Maybe I can talk the wifey into a road trip.

I know this is a late reply but Fellini's pizza is nice.
I would avoid Buckhead as overpriced and crowded.

For the largest selection of spirits I suggest Joey D's.

A little late, but I have to add my suggestion. Skip Little 5, it's overrated. Hit up East Atlanta. Start at the Gravity Pub and just wander from there. Many's the night I've puked in that neighborhood's gutters.

This is true. I was just being drunk. Silly me. My last haunt was Tony's on Holcombe Bridge Road in Roswell. I was there for lunch and dinner for almost 2 years. Nothing here in Canton. I mean nothing and it blows big chunks. We do get a Taco Mac in the spring due to a 800,000 SQF Sembler projects about 4.5 miles away. That's big for me. They carry like a 100 brews on tap alone. Booya biatches!
