Hello drunkards!! Mini-convention planned for October 5-7 in Austin, TX. Mark your calendars . . . more details to come . . . but we are taking matters into our own hands and planning a legendary event for that weekend. WOOT!!!

Same as fabric. I need employment and time off. I looked into train tickets and its 414 round trip. 52 hours and some change.

Always wanted to drink in Texas, a bit far from BC but I'll check out plane tickets closer to the date, you folks need a little taste of Canadiana.

Dates have changed. Apparently there are some football-type things happening that weekend and some other sort of big deal the following weekend, so we're targeting Friday 9/28 to Monday 10/1 now.
We are looking into renting a house that sleeps 8-10, so those of you who are seriously interested, PM me so I can start a head count of those who may want to be part of the condo rental. We're looking at the 6th street area downtown as the target area. Cost looks to be less than $100/person if we get at least 8.
Of course I'm sure there are hotels, etc. nearby as well if we reach capacity on the condo - at this point I believe we have close to 6-8 committed . . . of course subject to change.

Also, when I was a teenager, we landed in this town called Odessa Texas, and it was still dark at 8:30 or 9:00 in the morning. Very creepy, it was. I was glad to drive out of there. Well, my daddy drove, but believe me, if he couldn't I would have.
