Last week in June is always a cheep traveling week and first weekend in August aligns with International Drinking Days.

I prefer Las Vagas because the flights are cheeper; most airports have direct flights. Denver requires a layover.

deals on rooms are easy to come by in Vegas. Especially if we stay downtown (check out The Palace, Las Vegas Club, and Union Station casinos). I don't know about Denver hotels.

Transportation in Las Vegas is super easy; a car rental is not neccessary.

Finally, Las Vegas has Frankie's Tiki Room and the Double Down Saloon.

I voted Vegas, even though the chances of me coming are close to nil. You never know, I might win the lottery. I generally don't buy lottery tickets, but every couple of years there's a really huge jackpot so some people from work do a pool and I go in just in case it wins and my whole section gets to retire early except me. So if I win the lottery or otherwise come into enough money to retire and travel as much as I want, put me down for Vegas 2018. It could happen. Denver would be cool too. As would LA, SF, NYC, NO etc. How about Brisbane? Brisbane's not too far for youse?

The cheapest rates for rooms in LV are about this time of year, Tues thru Thur. Yeah, it's hotter than a match head but you are always indoors anyway save for a walk down the strip. All the buses have a/c. They will even comp your room if you go down and gamble on the tables win or lose.
