My sentiments exactly on what a perfect meal would be!
mmmmm martinis and meat!!
Asked by a radio interviewer once what her ultimate meal would be,
Julia Child said:
"Red meat and a bottle of gin."
Child accused "health experts" who advised cutting out rich foods like red meat and butter as "nutritional Nazis."
"I think these fake foods aren't worth eating," she said in 1992. I like real hamburgers, real meat, real butter. Eat everything. Have fun."
Julias love of gin and meat!

Small Fry often says that she can't wait to leave my house. Being that she was born in Texas, I'm from Texas and her father is a Kiwi brought up on a beef farm - well, the kid isn't allowed to be a vegan until she leaves for her own. I for one am game for a rare steak with a wee bit of salad and 66 ounces of Shiner - that is total heaven!
