Gran Turismo 5...

Post by waahoohah »

...has my old Mustang in it.

A 1971 Mach 1. Get it in Grabber Yellow, that's what I had.

If the game lets you drive it until the 351 Cleveland under the hood starts eating its own piston rings, please let me know, as that happened to me first, and I could maybe sue...

Heh, I'm not a PS3 man, but I wonder if GT5 has a Dodge Challenger R/T - that's pretty much my favourite American muscle car.

with a name like kowalski, you know it's the old one he's asking about.

Hey kowalski, I went to that small town at the end of VP, in the film, it was California but actually, it's a little town called Cisco in Utah, not all that far from Moab. Sadly, it's dying, just a few residents left, mostly a ghost town. Probably is by now. Sad, a piece of cinematic history just wasting away.

I am too, but I've tried to narrow it down. This list will probably change tomorrow morning.

all time favorite, 69 GTO Judge

second place, 70 Chevelle SS 454

new school, no doubt, GNX... bigtime...

aside from those, Superbird has it's place, 67 Chevelle SS too and a host of 442's.

Man, there are so many out here. Complete towns too, schools, churches, neighborhoods, just empty dry wasting homes out in the middle of nowhere. Some have a few hangers on trying to keep it going, I wonder about their lives. Some of 'em you got, 35, 40 skeletal homes, 5 residents and a gas station. fucking crazy.

Excellent - there was a booklet put together a while ago that showed the route he probably would have taken, although I guess lots of it would have changed by now, I've still got a half formed plan to do some sort of road trip from Colarado through Nevada and Utah...
