the story behind your sn

Post by thermon »

Thermon is a character that my best friend and I created in high school. Thermon is the guy on the outside looking in... always apart from the group and anti-mainstream culture. Think of him as a cross between Charlie Brown, Napoleon Dynamite, and Sid Viscous. Thermon is the guy in high school who got picked on, was set apart from the crowd and just didn't fit in, but was okay with that because he lives his own separate world... just like us drunkdards who live apart from the normies and 12 steppers...

Well, my name comes from a high school nickname. All my friends called me Ben the Beast because I reminded them of Beast from the X-Men. I'm a very intellectual and anaylitcal person, but my physical prowess is very imposing hence the nickname. I think it fits me pretty well.

Gee...Thermon sounds just like myself and several people I grew up with @50years ago. We were the people who never had to think outside the box because we were never in the box to begin with.

anyway, i was a playa once upon a time. now i'm retired. no, i said re"tired," fucker! realized soon after that i ran the bars...any bar. i can walk into a room and smell who will go home with me...but i don't want to bring anybody home! i call it "laydar."

i love the game, still, but have no interest in scoring. i'm the best wingman you could hope for. also, can hold my own if somebody tries to out drink us, or the shit gets hairy.

i approve this thread.

I have a rather common first name, so I used the Russian version of it.
