kill me now

Post by Gin McGuinness »

I cannot eat another "fried" anything. At the rate we're going, I'll need to purchase Zantac stock. Some how I have managed to block loads of Texas memories.... including everything battered and fried. Small Fry made a quip about deep-fried butter sticks; I'm pretty sure someone told me they are serving it at the State Fair. Last night we ate sushi.... battered and fried. My poor stomach.

Wait...What?
I thought battered and deep fried was a staple of the drunkard diet. I think that's the only time I eat vegetables. Although, hahah , yea deep fried butter may be just a bit over the edge.

I buy Tums in the gallon jug.

Having fried green tomatoes tonight. The tomatoes came right out of the garden today.

Good Stuff.

Sorry Thirsticus... I can't eat so much fried stuff. As for green tomatoes, we bake them. I know, I know... yell all you want but my stomach just cannot handle it.

Today, I found myself at Joe's Crab Shack.... not once, but twice. I went with a salad.... it still had fried shrimp on it. I give up! Three more days of sickness before we leave our beloved Texas.

You guys remind me of the Simpsons episode where everything is fried, including the bottle of wine. Now, fried sushi, excuse me, that's way out of line. Is frying the thing they do in Texas, or is is something typical for Fort Worth? I remember a business trip to San Antonio where we had very fine fresh food, of the non-fried type.

must be a Fort Worth thang... cause I don't remember this in Austin, Corpus, Houston, El Passo, Victoria, Beaumount, etc.

haywaitaminute! Isn't "fried sushi" just fish sticks?

you know, I never thought of that! You might be right!

We got the kid to eat fried catfish for the first time.... it's the only thing she's asked to eat again before we leave. I have created a monster.

Some parts of Texas are more civilized than others.
