He was shot last night in Puerto Rico. Reports are that he is now brain dead. Very sad. I grew up watching him. And love him or hate him, he always came to fight. I remember watching him beat the shit out of Ray Leonard in 1997. I was so happy because I hated Leonard so much.

Yeah man I read that earlier. I liked Macho Camacho, but I was surprised to read that there were plans for a bout in 2013 at age 50. I bet he was one of those dudes though, one of those that if you're gonna shoot em, you better shoot em in the face.

This end comes as no surprise to anyone from the Northeast, especially NYC. I'm surprised it took this long for his fast life to catch up with him. It's too bad he didn't put the brakes on sooner. His fight against Ray "Boom Boom" Mancini was great. Still think Boom Boom shoulda won that one though.

Camacho's mother has now asked the doctors to take him off life-support. Really a drag...he was a tough, skilled, entertaining fighter.

He was a cheating sum bitch too. He was never shy about it either. He once said in an interview, he'd head butt you any chance he could and he'd keep doing it till you stopped him from doing it, not the ref.
