This article is about Canadianish Thanksgiving, but nonetheless...
The article is about Thanksgiving, but he raises a point somewhere in there, saying that there are other "holidays" but are they really holidays without a feast? I think not. Those are the made up buy-a-card holidays. Fuck that. No dead animal in the middle od the table-no holiday.
Is it really a holiday without a feast?

Re: Is it really a holiday without a feast?
Only two things about that article that I mildly refute:
1. I'm not a complete slobbering moron, matey. Arrr, I slobber mostly, but not completely.
2. Halloween has no lovely animal flesh for the focal point, unless something bad has occurred and getting rid of the body makes you feel a bit peckish.
Other than that, it's become a celebration of candy for kids, an excuse for women to dress up like whores, and for weekend warriors to DRINK.
First hit is free, kids: free candy but you have to work for it and go door to door. After that, we got you by the pancreas, ye scurvy swabs

Re: Is it really a holiday without a feast?
We are getting ready to settle down to a feast to celebrate on of the most sacred of American holidays: The Birth of Martin Van Buren, the 8th wonder of the...8th President of these United States. If you claim to be an American and aren't do as such, then you, sir, are nonesuch, and should pack you bags and leave trump's America.

Re: Is it really a holiday without a feast?
Yeah every real American knows that on The Birth of Martin Van Buren Day, we all gather together to celebrate Rijsttafel. Nothing like a good bitterballen. Next we shall feast on Duck à l'orange on the upcoming holiday- June 14th, The Birth of Donald Trump.Frankennietzsche wrote: ↑Mon Dec 05, 2016 7:29 pmWe are getting ready to settle down to a feast to celebrate on of the most sacred of American holidays: The Birth of Martin Van Buren, the 8th wonder of the...8th President of these United States. And agreed- no, it's not a holiday without a feast. And booze.
