After seeing that I had a little read up....Apparently you guys banned sheep lung as an ingredient/food back in the 70's so maybe that's why you don't get the real stuff....seems like such a strange thing to ban.

I would punch that can of haggis right in the sheepy lungs with my brass knuckles while smoking a Cuban cigar. Then I would give it an abortion with my M4 carbine assault rifle.

Really though, Grant’s haggis looks like the kind of dog food you’d merrily eat from the can in the post apocalypse. Scottish Alpo.

I wouldn't feed that to a dog I hated.
Granted I've never tried haggis but it just seems like something that wouldn't work as a can food.

Anyone dug up the dirt on Sweet Sue’s Whole Canned Chicken yet?

I also know y’all have been looking up Worst Canned Foods ranked on the google-ma-thing-a-ling. At some point, the algorithms all converge.

some of those aren't bad at all though...i'd nail some reindeer pate....and tinned goose/duck fat, that's super popular here.. is that not a thing over in the states?

Yeah, duck fat is a thing here. There’s no shortage of foods you can fry in it (home fries are delicious) . Personally, I hunt duck and know people who hunt duck, so we usually render and collect it ourselves.

Whatcha all Brits do with that goose/duck fat anyway?

traditionally it's used a lot in roast dinners...so for roasting potatoes and parsnips in.

nowadays it's fairly popular as just an indulgent fat in general....you will get restaurants that will serve duck fat chips and duck fat braised vegetables shit like that.

It's relatively expensive if you're not just rendering your own so a lot of people have it as a treat...you see it a lot around Xmas cause of this.
