Who didn't love the Village People? They were America's darlings back in the day. At one time they had 457 members. It was truly a village of people.

My grandmother used to get a kick out of them and would stop everything to watch them on the TV set. She was especially fond of the middle eastern airline pilot character and got a kick out of the way he balanced his uniform hat on top of his turban.

I liked the professor. The one with the girl name.
Sue? I thought that was the lawyer with no arms and no legs.

Wasn't your grandmother a member of The Village People as well? I recall seeing her once one the Merv Griffin show when she was talking about how your grandfather drove her to lesbianism. She always had an apple pie waiting on the window sill for the boys after every show. Those were simpler times.

Of course, Ginger was a walking nature preserve for STD's. But Professor Roy Hinckley emeritus really had a thing going with Mary Ann. Nothing but good old fashioned wholesome love making right there. Sexin' it up in the hut every night after sundown like clockwork.

Most people credit the Professor for the invention of a non-petroleum based sex lubricant. But it was Mary Ann who was the true inspiration.

Yes, she was the camper/hiker character. I remember her telling me stories about how hard it was to do all those dance moves with that heavy, overstuffed backpack, stiff hiking boots, and yellow labrador retriever.

And yes, my grandfather drove her and many other people to lesbianism. Hell, he was proud of it, kinda took it as a challenge. He actually claimed to have "turned" every woman he ever met.

Yeah, I remember meeting her on the Pacific Crest Trail in her Birkenstocks and white tube top socks running up to her calloused, old labia. She fed me some trail mix from the back of her Subaru, and I fed her some mescaline, before the morkkis kicked in. Then we were just human blobs of hungover regrets humping each other in a thrift store sleeping bag.

She braided my hair, dood.

This idiot tried out but didn't make the cut since he's a blatant ignoramus and racist. Beings how there's people of color in the VP, he had to resort to other types of infamy like committing federal crimes on live TV.

Why is it that no one ever remembers the proctologist? He was a rock solid contributing member, always ready to put his speculum to good use.

Of course I remember him. He wore the glove on one hand way before Michael Jackson did. And he sang lead on the 1978 single, "Tube A Lube Grove". I am embarrassed that I didn't mention him earlier; I just assumed we were listing the lessor known members.

But the speculum? I think you are confusing him with OBGYN guy, who sang lead on "Pandora's Box".

C’mon, DB. Don’t be such a speculum stickler. They’re all just orifices anyway.
