The name Stendhal comes from my favorite novelist, Stendhal, born Marie-Henri Beyle. Like us, he enjoyed dark wines and easy women. My favorite drinks for summer are scotch and club soda or gin and club soda. For the rest of year, Brandy, Scotch, Bourbon, and stout.

Welcome aboard, Stendhal. Damn fine name and story behind it.
Good to meet you Stendhal! Looking forward to your future contributions to the board. A Long Isle Ice Tea with some sort of chicken wing platter would totally rock right now if you could hook that up! Cheers and welcome!

Welcome, the bar is over there and the bathroom is in the back. Pull up to the bar and grab a drink.

What would you rather do—leave a beautiful corpse, or a scorched Earth? Don’t live fast and die young. Live long and die hard.¸
I'm not drunkposting today, but hangoverposting, does that qualify as well?
Anyways, I'm a Belgian guy with Scottish roots who lives in Russia, so I'm already exposed to beer, whisky and vodka based alcoholism. I've joined this forum because I want to learn how to do cocktails, which ones are worth the hassle, and all of that.
Right now, my favourite drinks are Trappist beers and peat whiskys, but it's been so for years, so I want to find new stuff. Plus, my wife entirely supports me as I've introduced her to Belgian sweet beers and as she likes her wine as well, which qualifies, if I'm not mistaken, as a good married life.
