After Brady's, we had a few drinks at Seabright Social, then walked back to town and stopped for a quick drink at Coasters bar. Then one more stop at Asti.
Funny thing about Coasters. It has great reviews. And it's a shitty bar.

So, were there a lot of folks out and about or were you in a ghost town? Did you walk in on empty bars?Dear Booze wrote: ↑Sun Mar 21, 2021 2:38 pmAfter Brady's, we had a few drinks at Seabright Social, then walked back to town and stopped for a quick drink at Coasters bar. Most of the bars only had about two or three other customers. For Santa Cruz, it was pretty quiet. It's a college town (UCSC) but we didn't see any kids at all.Lush City wrote: ↑Mon Mar 22, 2021 12:15 amSo, were there a lot of folks out and about or were you in a ghost town? Empty bars? Nice! Perhaps it was because you guys went during spring break while the co-eds were infiltrating the beaches of Florida? That's a pretty good strategy actually.

Empty bars in college towns near Spring break. These are the end times!

Here we go... Booza Palooza officially starts in 48 hours. This is our annual drinking trip. This year, the destination will be Las Vegas again. With COVID restrictions still floating around and different cities holding on to different rules, we made the decision to return to LV because we know what we're getting into beforehand; Vegas has pretty much been wide open for many months.
There are several bars that we know and love and we've identified a few new ones that we'll be trying too.
I'll do my best to keep a runny log. I mean ongoing updates in real time.
For those of you who know them, the players this year are BRIAN!, Angel, and Travis. Angel is driving and will be there late Wednesday night. BRIAN!, Travis and I will fly out early Thursday morning. So, by about 9:30am, we should all have drinks in our hand.

Arrived in Denver (Denwer, Oett) at about 6:30 PM. So far, it's all about traveling from the airport to the hotel, which is about 40 min away, checking in, and finding some food.
Finally, we found Henry's Bar & Grill. It was a Yuppy place, but they had a good bar. We could have stayed there for hours but they closed at 9:00 PM. Now I sit at the hotel bar sucking down over priced cocktails.
The plan is to get up early and start some Denver Day Drinking (DDD)

The first drink I ordered at Henry's was a Captain & Coke but was served a Crown & Coke. I usually despise Crown, but, because I REALLY needed a drink, it was one of the best cocktails I ever had. They fixed it on the second round and all was right in the world.
Mrs Booze ordered a Sam Adam's, but the keg blew half way through the pour. So she got a free drink. They didn't charge me for the Crown, so we both started our drinking experience free of charge.

Blow up? I don't know. Maybe TNT? The keg didn't blow up. It went empty during the attempted pour, which causes the gasses, which force the beer to flow from the tap, to blow foam into the glass at a high rate. It causes a bit of a mess.
