I didn't comment because I thought maybe you were so drunk you were confused and thought you were supposta "pick one" 'cause I know you love some grilled cheese like every other normal human being. I don't know if it would be the one you would get rid of out of the lot, but I also know Nausferatu is not a fan of the 'mater sandwich thanks to sources from previous threads. I do my sandwich research.

Since you're a sandwich expert, perhaps you can answer the pressing question; is a hotdog a sandwich?Artful Drunktective wrote: ↑Thu May 20, 2021 10:44 pmI didn't comment because I thought maybe you were so drunk you were confused and thought you were supposta "pick one" 'cause I know you love some grilled cheese like every other normal human being. Re: Sandwiches!
^ ^ ^ Yes. Although I don't know how I feel about it. I do have hot dog recipes classified under the "Sandwiches, Sliders, & Hot dogs" section on my Pinterest merely because I wasn't sure where else to put them.
According to Merriam-Webster, a sandwich is "two or more slices of bread or a split roll having a filling in between." Although hot dog doesn't first come to mind as a sandwich, a sub / hoagie sandwich does and they technically have the exact same components (bread, meat, toppings). If we went by the dictionary definition, there is no distinction.
Bread and buns are different and yet, both considered sandwich material. That is where things get convoluted. Perhaps if we want to get technical, we should start calling things such as hot dogs and brauts "sausage rolls" or something along those lines to distinguish it independently of sandwiches. Otherwise they are basically all the same.
It's like calling boneless wings wings. I don't think so! They are huge chicken nuggets IMO! There ain't no "wing"!

Re: Sandwiches!
A hot dog qualifies as a sandwich. Especially if you cut it down the middle and grill it flat and then place it between to slices of bread.

Fuck jelly. And no, a hotdog is a hotdog. It would be called a san-dog instead

Re: Sandwiches!
I sure could go for a sandog with onions and mustard about now. This could work out.

Re: Sandwiches!
I would classify a pop tart more as a pastry. Same as those Toaster Strudel thingys. Mmmm. Toaster Strudels.
Here in Germany, they have something called Toasty's and it's a chicken pop tart. Now that is friggin weird. And oddly delicious. Freakin' Germans.
But is a Toasty considered a chicken nugget?
Yes they are absolutely real!

Re: Sandwiches!
^ ^ ^ I stongly disagree. A calzone is wrapped in something. This chicken toast is not. It's a flattened chicken nugg. I think the next question begs...is a calzone a burrito?

Valid point, and excellent question, I'll need to ponder that a bit

Re: Sandwiches!
I would say a calzone is closer to an empanada or a beef pastie than a burrito.
