Interesting fact about Ten High, or "Bourbon- a blend". By definition, Bourbon- a blend denotes a product which contains 51% "straight Bourbon" with the remainder composed of neutral grain spirits. And, of course, the most economical form of neutral grain spirits with which to blend is 190 proof ethyl alcohol. It should be ever so clear where I’m going with this.

Just finished off my last two cans of Bud and then started on the Rolling Rock. Phew! This Rolling Rock tastes horrible after drinking Budweiser. Will be pouring the Gran Legacy whiskey later.

my favorite breweries are Verdant, Cloudwater, Deya, Northern Monk, Track, and probably Buxton when they're on their best form.

I didn't see any of those last night at the store. I only remember seeing cask beer at a couple bars years ago. Can't recall what they were but rembered liking them. Different from everything else on tap. I've had Boddingtons before it wasn't bad I just don't really get the urge to drink it.

Cabin Still Kentucky Bourbon, aka "Stab n’ Kill". If you’re a fan of such classics as Evan Williams and Old Crow, I suggest giving this budget friendly Bourbon a try. Sure, there are much better examples of whiskey to be had. But after the second or third pull off the bottle, it doesn’t matter anyway.

My local bar goes through a lot of Cabin Still. Recently discovered was the fact that it mixes very well at about a 2:1 ratio with the nitro cold pressed coffee they have on tap. Straight up, of course.

Boddington’s is much easier to pound down than Bud. The carbonation isn’t quite as harsh and there’s slightly more flavor to be had. Of course, it’s no Shepherd Neame Spitfire.

This is right up my alley. I don't think I've ever seen it out here though.

^^^ I have never had Four Roses. What would you compare it to?

Four Roses is very light. It's like the Tullamore Dew of bourbons (I think I remember you drinking TD).

Easy sipping, with all the typical bourbon notes, although the wood is less present than with other bourbons.

It has a subtle sweetness to it. The only thing I dislike about it is that the finish is weak.

Finally tried some Four Roses. Not bad stuff, definetly on the lighter side. Reminds me of Irish whisky, more Jameson than Tullamore Dew in my opinion. Hell if Jameson tasted like this I'd probably drink it again. Nothing I'd make my go to whisky but glad I tried it.

I also saw at the store they had a small batch Four Roses. Any thoughts on that one?

Had a pour of Dickel small batch, and it was a decent drinker neat. That was after a lowball of WT-101 on the rocks, so taste may vary.
