My grandmother always said it was wise never to trust short men. Putin being at five feet seven inches, we have another example of her wisdom prevailing.
What a shit show this is. Invading Ukraine, sieging Kyiv, a city three times the size of Manchester. Targeting civilians. Unthinkable. More so when you think Kyiv is the footbed of Slavic civilisation.
I never thought we'd see it. I was supposed to be travelling to St Petersburg, Moscow, Kazan and Volgograd in March. Friends and family said, "Why? there's going to be a war". I replied "Oh you disappoint me" as I sipped my drink, "you think a Russian will fight his brother Ukrainian? You fool! You stupid bitch! You dumb cow!"
The fucking halfling did it.

As a vertically challenged individual I take offense at the short man crack.
He looks like an old man baby and his name sounds like poopin'. That's reason enough to not trust him in my book.

The americans build a nice trap and Putin had to take matters in his own hands.
And on top of it europ is shooting in it`s on own foot.
Com'on Anglo you'`re smarter than this

The army isn't going to waste an expensive missile to blow up an apartment - unless there's something in that apartment worth blowing up.
BTW, on a semi-related note - those Ukrainians build some pretty tough apartment buildings. USA apartment building fall under their own weight.

Sasha replies (in Russian) "Why the fuck are you talking to me in Yiddish?"
"If Putin hears us speak Russian, he'll try to liberate us!"

They did flatten Grozny twice. I've always assumed people in uniforms love blowing shit up. Especially when they've got so many of these "toys" they don't know what to do with them.Hugh wrote: ↑Sun Feb 27, 2022 8:19 pmThe army isn't going to waste an expensive missile to blow up an apartment - unless there's something in that apartment worth blowing up.

Re: Putin
I’ve heard it said that Putin is playing a grand game of chess. But the analogy is more apt to a game of poker with more than just two players at the table and Putin having overplayed his hand. It has certainly galvanized NATO in unprecedented ways, ironic considering that one of Putin’s major concerns is being surrounded by NATO countries in Europe.

This is true. As a military alliance, it was dying. Members were thinking of leaving. Now everyone wants to join. Even Germany are increasing their defence spending above 2%.
My true thoughts though are with those Kremlin stooges in the West, parroting Ms Zakharova's lines, whilst not quite yet realising the Russian speaking population of Ukraine, want to remain Ukrainian.
Coincidentally Russians do not want this either. Over 4000 Russians have been arrested across 52 cities in the Russian Federation as of yesterday.

I can't believe the Finnish ambassador to the USA said they are open to joining NATO now. All these years they were adamantly opposed to NATO, now they're all caught up in the drama and want to join the party. Maybe the guy will smash a bottle of Smirnoff on the sidewalk to show support for Ukraine.
