Re: Sandwiches!
Fluffernutters -- haven't thought about those in a long time. My father used to make them for us as kids.
I would never make one, nor would I ever refuse one.
And Nutella just ain't for me.

Don't worry. We're in no hurry.

Re: Sandwiches! - Yay or nay?
Recently saw a clip on Good Mythical Morning of "Will it Chicken Sandwich?". Basically a whole bunch of crazy chicken sandwich concoctions. (I'll say it again - I wish I had their job!)
Couldn't resist sharing the "Smucker's Uncluckable" - basically a fried chicken breast with PB & J sauces and pickles, with Smucker's Uncrustables*** for the bun. Sounds absolutely disgusting but I would still give it a "Hell YAY!".
***For those of you (oettinger) that don't know, Uncrustables are store-bought frozen crustless PB & J sandwiches, made for stoners or spoiled American kids who don't like crust on their PB & J's. I've never had one. Can anyone clarify if they are even good?
So are the parents lazy for not cutting the crust off their child's PB & J? Or are they lazy for purchasing pre-made, processed, crustless sandwiches for their bratty children? Either way, they damn lazy. Make that brat tear the crust off like everyone else had to since the PB & J's invention in 1901.

I've seen those before but never bought them. Even I can handle making pb&j. I don't see the point of them either.
Re: Sandwiches!
I don`t think crustless sandwiches grow in nature here. Americans and their weird genetically engineered dishes... almost as bad as english food

Baked beans sandwich? Yay or Nay?
Nope. I like those ingredients but not together. I'd rather have the previously posted PB & J chicken sandwich actually.

Re: Sandwiches!
In my younger years as a poor drunkard, I would take 2 cans of beans and a loaf of white bread to work for lunch for the week (total price - $1.66). Take a slice of bread in your hand, add a heaping spoonful of beans, then squeeze it in your fist until the bread was sealed all around the beans. Microwave for 12 seconds. I called them Hand Bean Pies. They weren't really good, but it was protein. Looking back, the best thing about them was the consistent farts.

Long ago, my grandfather taught me a trick: leftover sage stuffing makes a kick ass addition to a turkey or roast chicken sandwich. I drizzle a little oil and spicy Italian dressing over it. Add some sharp cheddar and a bit of pickled onion. Then it’s sammich time.
There’s also always a load of those leftover dinner rolls. Slider central.

An another one that proved convenient time and again: leftover Béchamelle and thin slices of jalapeno or habanero give any sandwich, including grilled cheese, a je ne sais quoi.Badfellow wrote: ↑Fri Nov 25, 2022 4:00 pmLong ago, my grandfather taught me a trick: leftover sage stuffing makes a kick ass addition to a turkey or roast chicken sandwich.
