Best of the wurst
Sadly, you can’t really find much for curry wurst in my sector of Murrica. So I’ll have to mix some up myself with the proper spices and pipe them sumbitches into casings.
But here’s the question: should I leave them "in the raw"? Or should I slow smoke them? Both have their advantages. Quite the sausage debacle to be certain.
I’m also racked with cravings for cheddar and jalapeño.

I have yet to try legit curry wurst but evidently Berlin has these renown crazy spicy levels of wurst that I must try. I also love the cheese stuffed krakauers. We often have them on the grill.
Okole maluna!

My wurst is second to none, danke.
So I told the guy at Little India Market what I was doing and he went off for 10 minutes about how he missed good currywurst, yada-yada-yada. Then he directed me to a bag of curry spice mix labeled Berliner Curry. Looks heavy on the paprika and has an amazing, complex smell to it. Long story short, I’ll pipe some sausages this week, throw a few on the grill and let y’all drunk-ass, food-loving dingleknockers know how it turns out.

I was also researching chicken/country fried steak recipes and ran into something called "steak fingers". Basically a tenderized and breaded strip of steak fried to golden perfection. Popular in Idaho, apparently. I could also see this going into a basket of poutine.
One recipe said to soak the steak strips in buttermilk and chopped onion for an hour before breading and cooking. Sounds like a winner to me.

What is the longest you have gone without eating? I`ve been drinking all day but now it`s getting really bad. Some more drinks but then I have to figure out if I want to open a bag of chips

I admire your motivation to make such things. I got one for ya with an Asian twist that won't disappoint. Meat Jun. It's a Hawaiian dish of Korean origin, consisting of thinly sliced beef dipped in egg batter and fried, served with a soy or gochujang based dipping sauce. It's onolicious! Never made it myself but would get it take-out a lot.Badfellow wrote: ↑Mon Jun 26, 2023 9:50 amI was also researching chicken/country fried steak recipes and ran into something called "steak fingers".
