Truly the Cadillac of men. Always classy that Steve (except around a grill).

And afterwords we can run amok! Or if you're too tired, we can walk amok.

I think I remember that, and I feel vaguely insulted, but Professor Longhair is the best of people. I bring the Flask everywhere now, for he is in my heart.
Drink your fucking drink, how about that? Stop the fuckin' presses, isn't it genius??

I miss the Photoshop rockstar Flask.
Most of all though, I miss the short time we had together @ the Double Down.

Megan, I am new here but I am so sorry for your loss. He sounded like a great man and I would have liked to have known him.
My prayers are for you. He is there on the other side probably having a drink with the Gods and leading a fine party.

It has long been recognized that the problems with alcohol relate not to the use of a bad thing, but to the abuse of a good thing. - Abraham Lincoln

Did not know this person. Never talked to him.
However, I have had a number of very close friends die these last two years.
Keep them in your heart. Keep them in your stories. Keep them in your memories, and your dreams, and they will live forever.

Meggie -
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. Passing of a loved one never comes at a good time. You guys seemed so made for each other.
Tim ("Drunken Jack Flash" as I originally remember him) was one of the prominent and prolific posters when I joined the board. Since he was on "West Coast" time, I ended up "conversing" with him over many late night board volleys. I'm sorry that I never had a chance to speak to him in person, much less meet him. From everything that I could gather about him, he was witty, charming, funny, honest, and nice. Not to mention loving, as you can attest. Fine qualities that are often lacking in this world.
All of us on the board were witness to you guys coming together and spreading joy (and "10 High") throughout the sun-drenched Southern California coast. It's a tragedy that it was cut so short.
I wish that I could add something other than "be strong" and "cherish all that you've had".
Chin up, kiddo.

I'm so very sorry for your loss. Words don't ever come easy at a time like this. I'm sure he was a great guy, can tell that just by the pictures and the kind thoughts that others who did know him express can only confirm it.

Re: Just so you know...
I posted some stories in one of JT's threads after BMMS called me with the news. I still can't believe it. He most certainly will be missed, but from the response here, I can say his spirit lives on. Hope you are doing OK, Meggie. Hang in there.

Re: Just so you know...
I still can't believe it. He was so young. He was such a nice man, so full of love for his fellow humans. Meg, I'm glad that your family came to be with you. No one so young should be a widow. Damn. Life is so random.
