I heard a faint cry as I left work tonight.
Just a barley heard whisper on the wind.
"Drink me", it said.
It was sweet Lady Booze.
I answered this Siren's call.
I am content.
She was calling me

And what Modern Drunkardist doesn't feel that caress, that whisper, that urge to enjoy?Patchez wrote:I heard a faint cry as I left work tonight..."Drink Me"...
A lovely piece of prose, Patchez.
In fact, it is an all-star post and I will bringing it to the attention of FKR (Slurred Be His Name), with a view to having it published in The Magazine (with your permission, of course).
I trust that you urge was satified and your thirst was slake; most of all, I hope that you have a sublime weekend to look forward to enjoying. I shall hope to have a Skype-chat'n'chug with you, at some point between now and Sunday.
As the drunken Vulcan says,"Drink long and propser!"
So, go to and good drinking, my friend.

I'm going into suspended animation just reading this thread! The siren song of Booze Island was too much for Odysseus. That's part of the Greek classic they don't want you to know.
Found myself in the Matrix and took the red pill. Now I want the blue pill and my bottle and leave me alone.
