Great pics, Two-Hearted!
I have to show you guys this picture. It was at the Campbell River Chum Derby (Vancouver Island) British Columbia, this guy was a serious mental issue as you can see. He was there every year we attended for 5 years running - and acted more manic every year. Finally last year, the DFO charged him with Molestation of Fish.

Re: Fishing
Awesome pictures! We do actually have a few fish farms here on the coast that raise Atlantic Salmon and whenever there is a hole in the nets, they escape and some are caught by sportfishers although I have never found one yet. We do have a few rivers on Vancouver Island that hold Browns as well.
Here are some recent pics:
Halibut from Ucluelet, BC
Flooded River - we were actually walking where the path USED to be!
A Day of Centrepinning for Steelhead
There is a trout farm close by that has a little issue with an otter that likes to chew the nets. When the fish escape, we flyfish for them and get a few back into the pens...

HA!
Centerpinning. I run 5" Raven Matrix pins. 13'6" Loomis rods. Those islander's are supposed to be sweet reels. I'm pinning in the am. I will post pix of any steel that are dumb enough to grab hold.

Re: Fishing
Pinning is quite an artform for steelheading around these parts. The Islanders are pretty expensive but worth their weight in gold in my opinion. A Raven Matrix you say.....very interesting! What do you run for lure/bait? If we haven't pumped any sandshrip off the beaches, we usually run an egg with white fluff.

Pics tomorrow of my flys and some fresh steel......

Re: Fishing
I've never been one for fishing, and it's actually quite a shame as I think it could be quite nice to do. Maybe I'll buy a cheat rod and let her sink by the harbor here. Maybe I'll catch some quicksilver infused cod with three eyes and a leg.

my granddaddy wouldn't put bait on the line, 'cause he didn't want the fish interferring with his drinkin'.

Re: Fishing
Problem with fishing is that those little basterds won't necessarily bite, so, growing older I decided to use a different approach: if the fish won't come up, then I'll go down and pay them a visit. Snorkelling with a harpoon gun, that's right.

Re: Fishing
Well it seems that Surreal has stood me up - he still hasn't posted his days fishing pictures after a week. Either he has fallen into the flow, been eaten by a landshark or probably got drunk and forgot. I am assuming he probably got drunk and didn't even go fishing.
