Indeed. According to Kenneth Griffith's autobiography (he played the medic) they bribed the extras into bringing them the local shaman's hallucenogenic firewater.
Ollie Reed was supposed to have taken a role in the film (possibly Roger Moore's) but the insurance company decided that having three known hellraisers was, alas, more than they would allow. It is interesting to think how it would have turned out if he had been allowed to take a role.
Meanwhile, as I said, that link will get you the entire flick. So, enjoy and to devil with tomorrow!

Since you bring up Wild Geese I will counter with The Molly Maguires. Really anything with Richard Harris, even Orca. Imagine him and Peckinpah during the off hours on Major Dundee. But, I digress. And throw out another great drinking flick John Carpenter's The Thing and I always recommend with any Carpenter Flick watching it with the commentary track. Listening to him and Natasha Henstridge getting drunk on the Ghosts of Mars commentary is better than the movie. Fuck.

History repeating itself perhaps. Did you know Reed was seriously considered as a replacement for Connery as Bond? Obviously Moore got the gig, but that would have been a wonderous occurrence had it happened. Wiki suggests the consideration for the role was after Reeds appearance in The Assassination Bureau.

As if...And here is a link to the whole movie (although you may need to download a newer version of "real player", or similar, to get it to play).

Here's something different; a cool, Finnish flick about Moon Nazis, Iron Sky. Enjoy.

Yes, it will. Both are going on my Netflix Q. Blow was such a sensational story based on a true account.
Loved Nosferatu. Loved even more the outtakes in the special features. He enjoyed his work.
