We used to have a giant cocktail shaker, I think it held a quart or so. I wonder whatever happened to it?
I have no idea where or how we acquired it. Do any of you have unusual cocktail accessories?

Re: Disappearing act
I used to drink bourbon out of my grandmother's juice glass. It's not like granny drank liquor that much, I only remember her drinking juice from it. But I think it's the perfect size as it holds enough for a few good swallows but not so much that you would get upset if it spilled. Doesn't matter because I had two of these glasses and I broke one of them one night while in the drunkard chat thing so I hid the other to keep it intact. Now I don't remember where it is. I doubt it disappeared, I just need to get drunk enough to remember where i hid it.

I highly recommend the Corkcycle travel mug; holds 16oz, makes a great shaker, pours without ice with a flip of the lid and keeps your cocktail cold for the minute or 5 you let it sit before decantoring.

Bourbon in a teacup is an excellent undercover sip. For summer a sippy cup, to keep out the bugs, works quite well.
