This year I decided to put some bandannas that she wore during her chemo period onto my motorcycle handlebars as a tribute and hoping she was looking out for me. Well Tuesday I was coming home for work and some asshole didn't stop at his stop sign and pulled out and tried to race across the main road to the other side but pulled out right in front of me. I hit the brakes and laid the bike down like textbook and slid off, slammng into the handlebars and tank as the bike stopped at the car's tires. I actually walked away from that crash with no broken bones, just a banged up knees and thighs, and my bike has hardly a scratch. It's absolutely insane.
I think my mom had something to do with that. She was my best drinking buddy.

I will always hold a special place for all the memories from that weekend and all the great people. MA (Ms. Asshole) says the same.

I remember when I was 19 the cops busted a party at a friend's apartment at college and the RA came in as I was drinking a 40 and was like "Put that down! Let's go! The cops are already outside!"
I was like, "What are they gonna do, double-arrest me?" Then I chugged the rest of the 40 in his face.
Fuck that? If you're already gonna get hauled off, you may as well take a swig that counts; its gonna be a long night and those benches are cold!

It's all part of some diabolically machiavellian conspiracy to get me wasted and, of course, I must spend the rest of the day drinking in order to figure out exactly who is behind it.

We will never be as we were.
We have lost much.
We mourn. I mourn.
But.
That glass is still there.
I, for one, will pick it back up.
I will fill it.
Remembering those who have passed, I will raise it.
I will remember them as I drink.
I AM STILL HERE.
I MISS THEM. I WILL KEEP THIS PLACE ALIVE.
And I will drink my share, and theirs as well.

Mixed an extra large, extra sturdy DRINK! upon getting home today. The grapefruit juice barely counts, completely slaughtered by the relentless hordes of vodka and ice.
