all i think about when i look at this thread is pirogues. and i can't understand the urge to fry a canoe. but i am drunk and raised in cajun country. so nevermind me.

I've also had them with kapusta (sour kraut) and prunes in them. I kind of hate the store bough, freezer ones, but we have about 0 ukranians or pollaks here in souther indiana, so I can't just get some from a church around here. My grandma once froze some home made ones and next-day mailed them to me, though. Heaven.

They are great drunk food. We have lots of polaks round here, so pakzkis and perogies are plentiful and good. One of the few things Detroit has going for it.
